Not what I had in mind

I started writing my essay. It flowed like a river. My thoughts to words. Felt good after so long. But just as I predicted, what I have now is hardly anything that I first had in mind. And just as I predicted, what I have now is actually better. My initial idea for point 1 was to compare the gods of this fictional world with the gods of our world (Egyptian, Norse, Greek, etc.). But I ended up writing in general instead of picking specific examples, and I think it reads better this way.
I enumerated (half of) this first idea into a 1000 word essay. This will be chapter 1. Took me like 2 hours to write, and I felt no pressure. Proud of this work.

I am not revealing the idea or the content here. I think I will finish it and publish it somewhere and add a link to the project tag eventually.
